In Africa, Chevron has taken a stance, making the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV in Angola, Aigeria, and South Africa one of its priorities. HIV is not the only global health concern in the areas in which Chevron operates and it recognizes that. Since 2008, the company has partnered with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. In the past six years it has funded programs across Africa and South Asia with over $55 million.
